Have you ever heard of this theme song?

This is one of the most well-known theme song in the world. The song is an original score from Star Wars. Star Wars is not only one of the most successful saga, it also creates groups of fans community for them to share their interest. They have clubs and conferences, where they meet and dress like the characters. Some people, such as Todd Philips, are such a great fan. 
Read the passage below to find out more about his love towards Star Wars.

FEEL THE FORCE

On May 25^th 1977, seven-year-old Todd Philips went to see the movie Star Wars for the first time. Now, Todd is the president of the California Star Wars Society and is probably the biggest Star Wars fan in the world. He’s written hundreds of newspaper articles about the films and he’s been to Star Wars conferences all over the world. Todd met his wife, Holly, at a Star Wars party in 1994 and at their wedding everybody looked like StarWars characters! And in January 2002 Todd started queuing to see Star WarsEpisode 2: Attack of the Clones – four months before the film opened.

“I love the film because they’re about the battle between good and evil,” says Todd. “They have everything – action, comedy, romance and amazing special effects. And you can watch them again and again. I’ve seen the first film over a hundred times!”

Todd has also met some of the actors. “Last year I met EwanMcGregor and I’ve also had dinner with Harrison Ford,” says Todd. “But I haven’t met George Lucas, the director. One day I’d like to buy him a drink and thank him for all the happiness he’s given me."

Fairy Tale Exercise

Directions

1.       These are popular fairly tales which you may know. At the bottom of the picture, you will find some verbs. Choose a fairy tale and write sentences using the verbs to tell the fairly tale (1 verb/ 1sentence). Every verb MUST be in Past form. You may also use characters and helping words given to you.  

2.       The sentences you wrote may be single sentences. Therefore, use “because, so, until, while and when” to connect sentences. You should use at least 2 of these connecting words.

3.       Once you have finished telling the story, look at the picture and write a sentence to describe what the character(s) was/were doing in the picture. You can start the sentence by saying “In this picture, …..”. You MUST use Past Continuous Tense to describe the action.
